There really is, especially in the field of technology.

It’s pretty east to think, wow I know everything. One issue later,

I know nothing.

As a tech, like a warrior you’re only as good as your last battle / problem solved / hardware and software setup.

Today I was humbled by my old friend and adversary, DNS.

We’re soo quick to blame, the third party software, the OS, the router. Let us not forget the ever present, user error. I thought I had my DNS nailed down a while ago. I was wrong. I have 3 DNS servers. one DMZ and two for redundancy on the Trust network.

It’s support to work like this. DMZ points to Trust1 for DNS. Trust2 points to Trust1 for DNS. Trust1 points to two external DNS forwarders.
