With some help from a doctor who wasn’t my regular I got proper antibiotics and more from the specialist. I have finally kicked this throat infection!

We had a niece over for 3 weeks so that kept us busy. Then after that my gf decides we should sit for her sister 2 little ones for another week.

When your chasing after that many kids you don’t have time for anything!!!  It’s been fun though.

On another note, my doctor is a moron.  He gave me something that filled my ears with water, which was causing that congestion and then told me i could not use decongestants.  I’m glad i saw the specialist. He recommended a highblood pressure friendly decongestant and now I can hear out of both ears.

I bought and finished starcraft 2, it was any awesome game. The multiplayer irritated me by removing units in the name of  ’balancing’. So i stopped playing. I’ve preordered  Final Fantasy 14 and  I’ve about half finished Metro 2033.

I got to experience food poisoning as soon as my antibiotics were done. What a fun night of puking THAT was. … ug

Also, my windows expired. I need to renew my technet subscription. I went to the site today expecting to pay about 350 bucks because I did not have the coupon that gave it to me for 250.  They have a standard version now, it’s only 200 bucks! I kinda feel cheated but i mean … 200 bucks is damned cheap.

Metro 2033 is an awesome game. Kinda reminds me of fallout 3 a bit.  More of a post apoc in russia in old metro tunnels. You fight off irradiated beasts.  Also you get to wear gas masks when outside. They can break … and you have 10 seconds or so to find a new one.  They can fog up if you don’t replace your filters.  This little mechanic is annoying sometimes but still adds to the desperate feel of the post apocalyptic world. Definitely try it if you want to swear at your monitor allot. This game is frustrating but the hilarious dialog of the drunk Russians makes it all worth it.

I’m also playing a great old game called Everquest 2 Extended. You don’t ‘have’ to pay to play it. Its quite a bit of fun. You can upgrade to ‘silver’ membership for 10 bucks or pay 15 bucks a month for everything with no limits.  I’m just having fun playing as a bronze freeby member currently.  Thanks to Thradia for pointing it out.

Other than all of this everything is going well.  There are approximately 18 days until  Final Fantasy 14 starts. Pit i don’t have any vacation time left over. I could say I was just kidding but I know better.

aren’t a big deal really.  However, the capabilities available these days allow blizzard to deliver a very

real and interesting story. As real a sci fi might get anyhow.  I’m sure I’ll be getting my arse handed to me soon

here but so far it’s a very fun game.

This weekend I will spend at work mostly I think.  I have many hours to make up for my 5 days off when I was really

sick.  This will suck.  That means I need to make up about 48 hours OT and not get paid for them.  On the other hand I get

paid regular time for the days I was sick.

Life is good, if my ears would just decongest, I’d be a happy man. I have to be better for ACE it starts in just 6 days!!!

3- 4 days of straight camping and wheeling. I hope I win some prizes.  This will be my first year of attendance, I will likely

regret not attending the last 3 years.   Ah well,  here’s to an exciting month!

On another note, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is fun!

On that note I would like to raise the point that you should
never feed Yoshi red peppers. He turns into a speedy little unpredictable
asshole making the levels impossible to pass to the point that I just
shut it off for the night. Screw you Yoshi … seriously.

Starcraft 2 is out and due to my short sightedness and bill paying ….
I do not have a copy. This shall be remedied soon I hope. I don’t need a copy.
No one NEEDS a video game it is all about want …. always has been. Difference is
I get to buy them now.

Feels like I have pneumonia.  So thats the sinus rince
the the inhaler that was meant to help that have prolonged
my illness. I’m thinking my doctor has some answering to do.
I caught up on alot of sleep today, i believe if this lounge
thing is gone tomorrow i get to go back to work.

We have AC in the server room so I’m gonna be
doing some pretty hefty work in there cleaning
up and orginizing cords
Maybe look for a 1hp  compressor to air em all out.

Working from home just isn’t the same.  However
it makes research alot easier.

Checkout VMware VIEW if you have some time folks.
Imagine, one vm.  As many users as you want,
and they all get to keep their settings and documents.
Also, you can backup and admin / patch them all from one machine.
It’s like the holy mecha of tech.  So far its looking like 150 bucks.
I’m not sure if it’s a one time price or if its PER user but even
at a per user rate this is amazing.

Star craft 2 tonight …. should we throw eggs at people
waiting for it at midnight? I jest … I jest.

In other non depressing news.   Starcraft 2 comes out july 27th.  There are also quite a few movies comming our way to. Including

Clash of the Titans, The Losers and Cop Out. All available in dvd blueray combo packs so you can give your buddy the dvd.

8 Hours is too much  6 hours is not enough. Sometimes 4 hours is just right.

Wish we had programming language, or switches or something.  Set timer hit start, sleep

for set time. Wake up refreshed.  Hey, at least it’s the weekend!

Backups failed …. more on that later i need to sleep.

However, they work. This in itself was a CSS monumental task …. for me anyhow.

Soon they will undergo a colour change.  My mind is going bonkers for it was not

made to comprehend such scripting / programming.

Alas, I am now making steady babysteps toward customization!
